I’m a ux designer, developer, and researcher. I like to make things that are easy to use. I’ve been designing and building web application interfaces since 2008. Over the years I’ve gained a variety of experience in interaction design, usability evaluation, qualitative and quantitative research, and assessing web accessibility.
More importantly, I’ve become very good at sharing what I know with others. Nothing makes me happier than making someone’s day easier by giving them tools that are simple and intuitive.
Intel
During my time as UX team lead and then UX Manager at Intel, I grew the team to four UX Designers and Researchers and we provided support for the entire UX lifecycle across the Saffron portfolio, including research, roadmap exercises, stakeholder design workshops, prototyping, and implementation with the scrum teams.
Saffron
Before our acquisition by Intel, I was a UX team of one at Saffron, doing work ranging from research to prototyping, design, and production UI code.
Deutsche Bank
During my time at Deutsche Bank’s Cary Technology Centre I worked on projects ranging from consumer facing tools like Asset and Wealth Management’s DBInsight to B2B applications like Cash Manager.
Adzerk
Lean UX at a Lean Startup During my time as UX Engineer at Adzerk, I learned a lot about Lean Startup philosophy. Adzerk is completely lean, and very dedicated to the idea of the Minimum Viable Product.
Partsbook
Cleaning up workflows I was brought on at Econify’s Partsbook project as a freelance consultant to help organize their application.
Primecast
Primecast is a provider of fiber phone and internet service. They work in collaboration with DIRECTV. During my time there I was the solo Designer, and I was charged with creating an innovative eCommerce solution that would meet with DIRECTV’s strict branding standards.
NC LIVE
I was brought on at NC LIVE specifically to redesign the iconic web portal, which hadn’t changed since its launch in the 90s. We rebuilt the portal from scratch.
